Mrs Rebecca Hatchett died at 11 o'clock Monday morning at the residence of her daughter, Mrs J.J. Lefecer three miles northeast of Edinburg. She was born in Virginia Dec 18, 1834, and was therefore in her 74th year. She came to Christian county with her parents when four years of age, and had ever since resided here. In 1851 she was married to William Hatchett, who died six years ago. Surviving the decedent are the following children: Mrs John Adams of Pawnee, Mrs Samuel Purnell of Cascade, Mrs James Peddicord, Mrs J.J. Lefever and George Hatchett of Edinburg and William A Hatchett of Conway. Two brothers are also surviving, Moses Collenbarger of Jerseyville and Abraham Collenbarger of Edinburg. The funeral services will take place at the family residence at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning, the Rev J.E. Lorton officiating, and interment following at the Chicken Bristle cemetery.
