Robert Scott ("Bob") Haynes, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away, Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the age of 79.

Service: 10:00 A.M. Thursday, September 17, 2021 at White's Azle Chapel.

Interment: Jaybird Cemetery.

Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at White's Azle Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Bob's name to The Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

Bob was born on March 24, 1942 in San Diego, CA to Robert and Lucy (Bethke) Haynes. He spent much of his childhood in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1961. His military service consisted of four years active duty, which included primarily carrier duty aboard the USS Kitty Hawk, the USS Constellation and the USS Ticonderoga, followed by two years of reserve duty. On November 19, 1966, he married Paula Clarke, and together, they raised three children, Robert ("Bobby"), Lori and Michael. Bob worked as a Photographer for Lockheed Martin for 36 years, retiring in 2004.

As his children were growing up, Bob and Paula were very active in their activities, including Youth Ministry at First United Methodist Church, 4-H Club, Scouting Band Boosters and Bicycling. Photography provided not only a way of earning a living, but was also one of Bob's personal hobbies, and he often enjoyed photographing his grandchildren and wildlife. Much to Paula's chagrin, Bob allowed their backyard to grow unabated, creating his "jungle" in which he photographed a variety of wildlife, especially birds, squirrels and raccoons. He also enjoyed listening to music and assembling jigsaw puzzles.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lucy, and a brother, Rick.

He is survived by his wife, Paula; son, Bobby of Azle; daughter, Lori Hanley and husband, and Steve of McKinney, TX; son, Michael Haynes and wife, Alisah of Reno; sister, Susan; brother, Jeff; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Bob was a treasure and will be missed by so many, always in our hearts.
