L. Darrell Boyd, 68, of Amarillo died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in St. Paul United Methodist Church with the Rev. Keith Wiseman of First United Methodist Church of Lubbock and the Rev. Rusty Dickerson of St. Paul United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd.

Mr. Boyd was born Oct. 26, 1936, to Fred and Elsie Boyd. He married Janie Boyd on June 22, 1957. He received degrees from Texas Tech and WTAMU. He taught math and physics at Amarillo High for 27 years after teaching math four years in Shallowater.

Surivors include his wife; a son, Greg Boyd and wife, Melissa, of Ardmore, Okla.; a daughter, Lori Garner and husband, David, of Wayside; a sister, Mary Broadwater and husband, Don; and seven grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 4317 W. Interstate 40, Amarillo, TX 79106 or Hidden Falls Ranch Christian Youth Camp, P.O. Box 136, Wayside, TX 79094.
