Johnson City - Our hearts were broken on Sunday, December 13, 2020 as we said farewell to our Husband, Father, Poppi and Great Grandpa, Richard Joseph Holly, Sr. Dick went to be with our Lord, free from pain, worry and fear. Dick was predeceased by his father, Joseph Holly Sr., mother, Ellen, and his brothers, Joseph and Phillip. Dick was blessed to find the love of his life while in grammer school, Sandra Mae Kingsley. Having been married for 64 years, they were blessed with three children, five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Dick is survived by his loving wife, Sandra. Dick (Dad) is survived by his daughter, Rebecca and Ed Slavick, his sons Richard Holly Jr. and Mike and Sue Holly. Dick (Poppi) is survived by his grandchildren, Jennifer Walker (Eric), Benjamin Slavick (Stephanie), Matthew Slavick (Carolyn), Kathryn Holly and Michael Holly Jr. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Alana, Jacob, Owen, Kodi, Logan, Alicia, Tatum, Maddison, Isabell, Jonah. Richard is survived by his sisters Nancy Eddy and Laura Eschbach, and several nieces and nephews. Dick is survived by his recent companion that gave him many smiles, his lap dog Molly. Dick was an avid hunter and fisherman, a lifetime Cowboys fan and a die-hard supporter of Dale Earnhardt Sr. He served in the West End Armory National Guard as a part of their Minutemen drill team. He retired from SUNY Binghamton after 23 years of service as a plumber and drove for Johnson City schools as a bus driver for a total of 11 years. The family would like to thank the staff of Robert Packer and Lourdes Hospital for their loving care. If you wish to make a donation in his remembrance, please do so to the charity of your choice. He has left a void in our lives but we know we will see him again.
