Evelyn Pospisil Beauchamp passed from this life to Everlasting Life on September 9, 2021, at the age of 97. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas M. Beauchamp, Sr., her parents, Mary Migl Pospisil and Otto A. Pospisil, her sister Florene Citty and husband, Clifton; her brother and sister-in-law, Sylvin and Pauline Pospisil, and her son-in-law, Lloyd deGeneres. Visitation will be at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Clinton on Monday, Sept. 13, 2021 from 12:30 pm until Mass of Christian Burial at 2 pm conducted by Fr. M. Jeffery Bayhi. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery, Clinton. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy B. deGeneres of Denham Springs, Joree B. Felker of Salt Lake City, Utah, and her son, Douglas M. Beauchamp, Jr., of Clinton. Her grandchildren are Richard (Penny) Felker of South Weber Utah and Bonne (Matt) McQuiston of Ogden, Utah. Great-grandchildren are Victoria and Katey Felker, and Matthew and Johnathan McQuiston. In addition, her niece Dianne Munns (Bob) of Clinton, and great-niece Carlyn Crowe (Dave) and son, Sam, of Des Moines, Iowa mourn her loss. A devoted member of Our Lady of the Assumption, she served as a choir member, catechism teacher, Ladies Altar Society president, and flower chairman for many years. She was also a member of the Bereavement Committee and chairman of the Prayer Chain. A tireless volunteer, she spent many years involved in Girls Scouts and Boys Scouts. She loved flowers and knew the names of all those in her yard. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the East Feliciana Pilgrimage and Garden Club. Known for her generosity, devotion to God, church, and her family, great cooking, and numerous friends, she was known by so many as "Miss Evelyn" to patrons of the Audubon Regional Library, where she worked for over 10 years. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church New Hall Fund, Preparing the Way, or your favorite charity.
