Mike was informally trained as an auto body repairman and painter and was known for his talent in the industry. He had a preference for customization and restorations of both hot rods and rat rods. He was particularly talented for flaming motorcycle gas tanks. He exuded the rockabilly lifestyle and loved his Hawaiian shirts. He enjoyed jam sessions with friends and family and could play the guitar like no other. Mike would captivate audiences with his prolific story telling ability. He enjoyed the open road and venturing to parts unknown and had a knack for finding the best food in every diner and drive along the way.
Mike didn't meet a stranger and had a host of friends, and was known as "Uncle Mike" to many. He is survived by sister, Regina "Gina" Priest; children, Rhonda Michelle Priest; Christel Clanton Jones; Scott Clanton; honorary son Stacy Jackson; grandchildren, Andrew Priest-Chavis; Rachel, Joshua and Matthew Jones; great granddaughters; Jalyn and Lily Jones; Abbagail and Faithlynn Bullard; a host of nieces and nephews; long time friend Earl Todd and many other friends and classic car enthusists. In addition to his parents, he is preceed in death by his brother, Larry Priest.
