Rev. Frank Morris Thompson of Trinity, Texas, a former longtime resident of San Augustine County, Texas, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021, in Houston County, Texas, at the age of 90.
He was born October 6, 1930, in Hamilton County, Texas. Bro. Thompson began serving in the ministry in 1963 and served a number of churches in the area, including 32 years at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in San Augustine County's Denning community.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Arbeline Thompson, in 2019.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 17, 2021, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home in San Augustine, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, located at 4216 County Road 220, with Bro. Kenneth Myers, Bro. Greg Kitts, and Charles Sharp officiating. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.
