Beverly Jean Burks was born on March 26, 1937, the fourth child of the union of Wallace C. Grant and Geraldine (Fisher) Grant. On September 6, 2021, at the age of 84, she was called home to rest with our heavenly Father. She peacefully transitioned at her home, with her son by her side.
Beverly was preceded in death by her loving spouse of sixty-four years, Charles T. Burks "Teddy"; father; mother; and brothers, Richard Wallace Grant, Sr, Lawrence Grant "Tootie" and John Edward Grant.
Beverly leaves to cherish her memory brother, Orville Grant (Howell, MI); son, Anthony K. Burks "Tony"; daughter, Stephanie L. Burks (Weehawken, NJ); granddaughters, Celina A. Thompson (Columbus, OH) and Graci T. Wade (Weehawken, NJ); along with a host of nephews, nieces; and an abundance of loving family and friends.
Wake service will be Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Dale-Riggs Funeral Home Chapel, interment Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
