Larry will lie in state on Sunday, December 6, 2020 from 1pm to 5pm in the Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40, for viewing. A private graveside service will take place at a later date.
Larry was born on November 5, 1945 in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. He joined the United States Air Force after high school. He was a 24 year man, retiring with the rank of Master Sgt.
He was a devoted husband for 56 years, and a wonderful father, grandfather, and uncle to two nieces and two nephews. He knew more about mechanics than most. He loved to rebuild old cars from the ground up. He found enjoyment in running his gas powered r/c cars and boats.
He loved his family, and held a deep bond with each of them. The only thing that came in at a close second was how much he loved his fur babies Abby and Candi, his pups.
Those left to cherish Larry's memories are his beloved wife Karen of the home, sons Larry Jr, and Ken both of Amarillo, daughters Donna and Nita both of Amarillo, sister Linda Hess of Dallas; and grandson Merric King of Amarillo. Larry was preceded in death by his granddaughters Tessa Hamilton, and Kristi Hamilton.
