Mrs. Marilyn Elizabeth Stafford Edwards, 84, of Lenoir, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at her home. Mrs. Edwards was born March 17, 1937 in Caldwell County to the late Euell Eugene Stafford and Mary Estelle Moore Stafford. She was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Melvin Edwards.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Mary Beth Haigler Huffhine of Hudson, and Sherri Lynn Scherer and husband Robert "Bob" of Spartanburg, S.C.; grandchildren, Genealy Haigler Hudson and husband Derek of Taylorsville; and great-grandchildren, Ender Scott, Moxxi Marie, Fenix Kaid, and Artemis Eoin all of Taylorsville; brother, Edwin Eugene Stafford of Lenoir; and sister, Myra Stafford Mooney and husband Art of Kannapolis.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, September, 14, 2021 at Pendry's Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Bob Scherer officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow the service in Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
