Bobby L. Thompson, age 91, husband of Edna Link Thompson, passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. He was born on July 2, 1930, in Nicholasville, Kentucky, to Rev. Rhodes Thompson, Sr., and Frances Congleton Thompson. He retired from Bluegrass Army Depot - Avon after 35 years. Bobby was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), in Paris, Kentucky, where he served as an elder. He served on the Cane Ridge Preservation Project Board, Paris City School Board and Christian Church Homes Board and belonged to the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. Bobby was active in the construction of several Habitat for Humanity homes in Paris and Bourbon County.

In addition to his wife, Edna, Bobby is survived by: two sons, John (Elaine) Thompson and Jeffrey (Lynn) Thompson; a daughter, Linda (Jack) Givens; six grandchildren, Elizabeth (Chad) Conley, Rhodes (Meagan) Thompson, Jeremy Givens, Jaimie (Kevin) King, Emily Thompson and Alexandra Thompson; two sisters, Anne Else and Jeanne Moffat; a "special son," David Lykins; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Rhodes Thompson, Jr., and Ryan Thompson.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 16, at First Christian Church, in Paris. Masks will be required. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to: First Christian Church Building Fund, 911 High Street, Paris, Kentucky 40361; or Cane Ridge Preservation Project, 1655 Cane Ridge Road, Paris, Kentucky 40361.
