She was the daughter of Virgil H. Lockwood and Bertha M. Greene Lockwood. On June 19, 1925 as Grace G. Lockwood, she married Carl F. Kuehnle, Jr. at Marion County, Indiana. She was a graduate of the Class of 1923 at Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts.
