“My Dad was a boy when "Pap" (his grandfather Lewis Jones Grant) returned to Grantsboro to live with them. My uncles said he used to tell stories about his logging days. They would cut timber and snake the logs down to the river. When the river would flood in the spring and fall, they would float the logs down the Clinch River to the Tennessee River, then all the way down to Chattanooga”-Randy Cooper-Facebook-30 January 2015
