Crystal worked at the Tuolumne County Department of Social Services for 30 years before retiring. She was also a member of the Emblem Club and the Native Daughters of the Golden West. She will be fondly remembered because "Grammys are the best."
Crystal is survived by her children, Curt (Kim) Sutton, of Sonora, and Carl (Brandy) Sutton, of Yucaipa; stepchildren Danny Armstrong, of Turlock, and Willy (Dottie) Armstrong, of Springfield, Missouri; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; siblings Carole Westmoreland, of Chester, Tom (Norma) Ruiz, of Sonora, and Constance Ruiz, also of Sonora. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Louise Ruiz.
There will be a small private family service (contact family for details) and a celebration of life at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at the Sonora Elks Lodge.
