She is the daughter of Mattie Sue Webb and the late Hubert Webb.
"Shug" as she was affectionately called, was educated in the Granville County School System and was employed at Mt. Hope Finishing Company for over twenty years and also served as the sexton for St. Stephen's Episcopal Church for many years. She later received her CNA certification and was currently employed with Caring Heart Health Services. Mary was a faithful and dedicated member of the Only Way Church of Christ.
Mary loved the Lord and was faithful and diligent in her service to Him. "Shug" also had a great love for life and for people. She touched the life of everyone she met with her smile, generosity and kindness. She not only spoke love but she showed it throught her acts of kindness towards others. Her legacy of love will always be remembered as well as her loving heart and warm smile.
In addition to her mother, she leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Donald Royster of the home and Stevie Royster (JoAnn) of Oxford; one sister, Linda Bridges (Thaxon) of Oxford; two brothers; John Webb of Oxford and Roy Webb (Glenda) of Baltimore, MD; two grandchildren; Donisha Allen and Shayla Harris; one great-grandchild; Nevaeh Harris; two aunts, Alice Evans of Oxford and Bessie Roundtree (Ralph) of Hollis,NY,; one uncle; Dennis Evans of Oxford and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by by two brothers and a nephew; Charlie Webb, Haywood "Moochie" Webb, and Carlos Webb.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Betts & Son Funeral Home Chapel by Bishop James Daniel.
Interment will follow in the the Only Way Holy Church Cemetery.
Viewing be from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM Wednesday.
Mary Frances Webb and Donald Epps Royster (son of Grant Epps Royster and Annie Elizabeth {Green} Royster) were married on October 23, 1969 in Granville County, North Carolina by Clinton Winston, Holiness Minister.
