Kathleen then had 4 daughters, Grace, Kattie, Charlotte, and Carrie. Her kids were her life, from subbing at the school, helping with classroom activities – and then later when the girls were in High School was very involved in their Band and Choir trips. She would also cart them to young kid church events, and any other kids who wanted to jump in the car for trips to Vici or Colorado. One of her greatest joys was also to bring food to anyone who was sick, and helping in any way she possibly could. She even opened her home up for a few people to come live with her while they figured out their next steps in life. Another event that was a huge hit that she loved to put on would be the Young kid 20 and over events.
Then the grandbabies came along – and she was even more thrilled to buy baby clothes, rock them, and later on watch them learn how to ride their bikes at the lake with the whole family around. Then rooting for them at their Cheer, Basketball, Soccer or Volleyball games. Even later on when she wasn't well, she still made a way to cheer them on, bribe them with money for goals, comfort them when they lost a goat, or give high fives for getting an award at school.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her dad, Kenneth Thompson, Mother-in-law Mary Henderson, Father-in-law Perry Henderson. One nephew Jason McCracken, nieces Lora and Rebecca Poulson.
She is survived by her husband Richard of the home, children: Grace, Kattie and husband Jack, Charlotte, Carrie and husband Daniel, and mother Charlene Thompson. Grandchildren Mikayla, Carley, Rylynn, Abbi, Remington all of Blanchard. A host of nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, and people she felt like were her own kids.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at the General Assembly and Church of the First Born in Newcastle. Burial will follow at the Blanchard Cemetery.
