Records show Timothy Shurtleff born 18 June 1760 at Carver, MA to Abial & Mary Shurtleff.

Timothy married Eunice LeBaron 12 June 1783 at Middleborough, MA (1761-1795). After Eunice died, Timothy married her sister, Mary "Polly" LeBaron, 16 February 1796 at Middleborough, MA (1775-1841). In 1840, Revolutionary War pension files he was living with son-in-law, George Miller, in Walden (Lydia Shurtleff's husband). Pension #S21967, served in MA militia, 1777 under Captain Sparrow. His pension file states his date of death as 19 Jan 1841, so the newspaper may have had a typo when it stated the 9th.
