Joe Mitchell was born on July 15, 1935 in Louisville KY, and died in Conroe, TX, where he lived for over 45 years. Joe graduated from Western KY University in 1959, and was married to Mary Edith (Deedee) Moss on November 27, 1959. Joe lived with his wife, Deedee, in Louisville, Campbellsville, and Ft Thomas KY during Joe's sales jobs for Proctor and Gamble, Alcon Labs, Stryker Corp. Joe and family then moved to TX when he took a job with Karl Storz Endoscopy America. Conroe is just north of Houston. Joe was employed by KSEA until about a year before he died of pneumonia complications after breaking his back in a fall. Joe is survived by wife Deedee and children, Melanie Mitchell, Christopher Morton Mitchell and Robin Gerber and one grandchild, Austin Joseph Mitchell. Joe was in Barons fraternity at Western, played football in high school and his freshman year in college. Joe was always active, jogged, played tennis, fished, but his main passion was golf. Joe was always called "one of a kind" for his authenticity and his hilariously off the cuff sense of humor.
