Florence I. King, age 90, passed away at her home in Bloomer on Saturday, October 21, 2017. She was born on September 8, 1927 in the Town of Wheaton, Chippewa County to William & Ida (Zwiefelhofer) Swoboda. She married Gerald King on May 16, 1950 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls. Florence worked for ABC Furniture and was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Bloomer. She enjoyed gardening, Canning, playing cards, watching football (especially the Packers), watching NASCAR and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her children: Diane (Joseph) Bohl of Bloomer, Bernice (James) Schwartz of Bloomer and Kenneth (Carlotta Meinen) King of Shakopee MN; grandchildren: Wendy (Rob) Mooney, Christopher King, Krystal(Adam) Butcher, Susan (Brian) Toelle, Sandra (Tim )Kruse, Melissa (Jin Kim) Schwartz; 4 great-grandchildren; 15 step-great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and one arriving soon; sisters: RoseAnne Richmond, LucyAnne LeClaire, Eileen (Dayton) Reed, Helen (James) Schemenauer and Ione Hebert all of Chippewa Falls; sisters-in-law: Margaret King of Cadott and Arlene Conrad of Chippewa Falls; brother-in-law: Raymond (Janet) King of Chippewa Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents: William and Ida Swoboda; husband: Gerald; brothers: Arnold (Margaret) Bernard (Bernadette) and George (Vernetta) Swoboda; sister: Lillian (John) Butak; brothers-in-law: Delbert Richmond, John LeClaire and Steve Hebert.
