Nathan Edward (Eddie) Duke Jr. was born on May 2, 1956, in Reynolds, Georgia to Barbara and Ned Duke. The family moved to Thomaston, Georgia when he was a young child. He married Teresa "Terrie" Craft in 1983. They had two children, Nathan Edward Duke III "Trey" and Caitlin Elizabeth Duke Richmond. He has one granddaughter, Thea Gray Richmond who was the light of his life. Eddie has three siblings, Cynthia (Cindy) Duke Simpson, Kelvin Duke and Carla Duke Smith and several nieces and nephews who all held a special place in his heart. Eddie was employed by Windstream Corporation for 40+ years. He cherished the time that he spent enjoying nature and God's gifts and hunting and fishing. Eddie was a vital member of the community, he was kind, caring, loving, and helpful to anyone who needed it. He was a man of his word. He was a wonderful son, a loving husband, a precious loving father, an adorable pappy and he was a good friend to all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 12, 2021 from 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m at Coggins Funeral Home.
