Michael W. Day, 71, of Georgetown, Illinois, passed away at 7:34pm, Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Illinois.

He was born on June 17, 1950 in Danville, Illinois, the son of William and Anna {Palmer} Day, both deceased. He was married to Frances Emmons on May 11, 1977. She survives.

Michael is also survived by his children, Renee Howie, Carl Waterstradt and Krista (Al) Lindsey; his three grandchildren; his 7 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and his siblings, Carolyn Waterstradt and William A. Day.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Josh Carman and his brother-in-law, Gary Waterstradt.

Michael was a proud Veteran of the US Air Force and Marine Reserves, as well as a member of the Indiana Air National Guard. He had attended from SIU and was a member of the Tap A Kegg Club. He enjoyed going fishing, mowing grass, biking and golfing. He loved his family and will be dearly missed by them.

He will be accorded cremation rites.
