Linda M. Marshall, longtime resident of Council Bluffs, passed away, July 4, 2021 at the age of 78.
She was born Linda Marie Cumming in Council Bluffs, IA on May 19, 1943, the daughter of Minola and Elmo Cumming of Council Bluffs. She attended Thomas Jefferson High School and after graduating, studied at Mercy and Iowa Western's Schools of Nursing. She married John R. Marshall in 1963 and would have celebrated 58 years of marriage on July 6, 2021.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her brother David R. Cumming, in 2008, and sister Barbara J. Cumming in 2000.
Linda is survived by husband, John and their four children, Shawn Marshall, Michelle Marshall, Amy (Gary) Blair and Brad Marshall; beloved nephews, Ryan and Brandon Cumming; other nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Sarah LeClair, Taylon Marshall, Joshua Marshall ,Morriah Marshall, Clinton Blair, Zac Blair, Olivia Blair, Garrett Marshall; great-grandchildren, Peyton, Castiel, Ezekial, Mikhaeli, Aubrey, Natalie, and Ava.
Mercy Hospital Honor Guard and Rosary Recitation Thursday 2:00pm at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Interment to follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery with a luncheon at the Walnut Hill Reception Center.
Linda's family would like to say thank you for the special love and care for our mother that was provided by all the Doctors and Nurses at CHI Hospitals, specifically the Creighton University Bergan Mercy Staff. Memorials will be directed by the family.
