Roy Aldi Launer
West Point, Illinois - Roy Aldi Launer, 93, of the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy, formerly of West Point, died at 9:55 a.m. Thursday August 21, 1986 at St. Mary Hospital.
Mr. Launer was born December 8, 1892, at Arenzville, a son of Frederick and Anna Marie Bockemeyer Launer. He married Virgene Hicky who preceded him in death.
Mr. Launer was a veteran of World War I, in which he was a sharpshooter.
Surviving are a step-son, John Hicky, address unknown; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lamporte Funeral Home in Carthage by the Rev William S. Warford. Freeman Funeral Home in West Point was in charge of arrangements.
