Sound Artist, Cultural Promoter and Social Activist. Abraham Chavelas Durán was involved in the coordination and production of artistic and cultural events since 1999, including music festivals, literary presentations, performances, exhibitions, among others. In 2011 he was the founder of the 'Más Música Menos Balas' initiative to promote art and culture. With this initiative, events, workshops and various artistic actions were developed in places such as Mexico City, Mazatlán, Acapulco and countries such as Argentina. Likewise, he collaborated in various projects with foundations, public and private institutions in various parts of Mexico. His pieces of sound art were presented live and exhibited in places such as Bargehouse / Oxo Tower in London, The Mexican Culture Institute in New York, Recital Internacional Chilango-Andaluz (RCA) in Spain, Bosque Sonoro of the Museum of Modern Art in Mexico City, and others. Among his latest activities was the culmination of the first album of the musical project Costera Vieja, in which he collaborated with the musicians Paco Carajo and Salvador Perdomo.
