Jeanette Baker Robinson
September 25, 1936 - September 5, 2021
Newburgh, New York

Jeanette Baker Robinson, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 5, 2021. She was 84 years old. Born September 25, 1936, to the late John and Nettie Baker, she was the youngest of 19 children.

Jeanette migrated to Newburgh NY in 1957. She soon after met the love of her life John, whom she married in 1958. They celebrated 53 years of wedding bliss.

Jeanette was educated in the Robeson County NC school system, where she received a college scholarship. She was a dedicated worker for IBM, after 30 years of service, retiring in 1993. Jeanette accepted Christ in her life as a young woman, and represented a Virtuous woman. She was a devoted member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, where she worshiped over 60 years, as Choir member, and Usher board treasury. She loved to lead the march down the aisle.

Jeanette was the Matriarch of the family. She offered so much wisdom, love, and a listening ear. She loved baking cakes from scratch and gardening.

Jeanette leaves to cherish her memories: two sons Ronnie Robinson and Steven Robinson both of Newburgh NY: one daughter Brenda (Louis) Towles, of Newburgh NY; ten grand-sons Ronnie Robinson of Middletown, Tyrone Ferrell of Poughkeepsie, Steven Robinson of Staten Island NY, Adrian (Shaniece) Williams, Christopher Robinson, Kadeem Robinson, Kareem Robinson, Jahzaire Grant, Jeremiah Robinson, and John Robinson, all of Newburgh NY; four granddaughters Chaquan (Jamal) Gayle, LaToiya Robinson of Newburgh NY, Janella Rayford of Columbia SC, and Janiyah Robinson of Newburgh NY. Seventeen Great-Grands, one Great-Great-Grand, and a host of Nieces and nephews. Special Friends Mother Molly Buffalo, Mae Stanley, Ruth Perkins, Daisy Ponder, and Brenda Powell.

She leaves this life to join her husband John A. Robinson, son Don A. Robinson, and eighteen siblings.

A special thanks to Ebenezer Baptist Church, One Accord Christian Church, Grant Memorial House of Joy, and Fam's Kitchen. Your many acts of kindness in our time of sorrow are much appreciated.
