Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-6 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel in Wooster. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with pastor Carr officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held.
Larry was born Nov. 15, 1938 in Wooster to Irvin and Sarah (Spitler) Lingle. He graduated from Smithville High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963. Larry married Faye Emerling on April 4, 1964.
He worked at Regal Ware for 19 years and at Rubbermaid for 21 years. After he retired, he loved his part-time work at NAPA. Aside from his love to work, he enjoyed agricultural activities such as mowing and working with the farm animals, even the ones that stole his shoes. He also loved to hunt, and was a proud member of the NRA.
Larry will be deeply missed by wife, Faye; children, Don (Ginny) Lingle, Ken Lingle and Connie (Sam) Sutton, all of Smithville; granddaughter, Casey Lingle and sister, Emma Conn. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bob Lingle and twin sisters, Pearl Schaub and Irene Marty.
