Lonnie M. Harris Dies At His Home Near City
Leaves Number of Children and Grandchildren and is Survived by His Widow
Lonnie M. Harris, a well known farmer who lives in the Spring Valley section of the county, some four miles from Henderson, died at his home at 6:15 o’clock Wednesday morning. Burial will be at the old family burying ground Thursday afternoon at 4:30 o’clock, following the funeral which will be conducted at the home.
Mr. Harris had been ill for several days and his condition had been regarded as very serious. Besides his widow, he is survived by several sons and daughters, and thirteen grandchildren.
The sons are G. Badger Harris, J.M. Harris, W. Leon Harris, all of this county, and S.P.J. Harris, now in the National Army stationed at Camp Sevier. The daughters are Mrs. O.N. Marshall of Stantonsburg and Mrs. D.L. Hoyle.
