His parents married in 1798. He was born before the 1800 census, in Haddam, CT. He was the only child at this point.

Willard married Patty Akin in Cuyahoga County on January 1, 1817.

In 1820, they were in Strongsville, with a daughter & son under 10, Harriet & Lewis.

He died abt 1829. You can find a census for Patty Brainerd in Brooklyn, Cuyahoga, OH in 1830. There is one male under 5, Albert (5-9), and a daughter aged 5-9, Beulah (under 5). I believe they flip-flopped the ages.

If he was married twice, he would've married Martha Aiken no earlier than 1815, and she would have been Harriet's mother. I have not found a definitive trail for Harriet. An 18 year old "Harriet Brainard" married a Henry Lawrence in Cuyahoga in 1834. I'm finding no trail for this couple after that, so I'm not 100% sure that it's her. Seems probable.

Daughters Angeline & Lucy probably died young, as neither were accounted for on the 1820 or 1830 census. They would've both been born after 1820 and died before 1830.
