Mr. James Douglas Rainwater, 58, of Clermont, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 11, 2021 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Drewery Loggins will officiate. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Saturday September 11, 2021 from 1:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
Born on August 15, 1963 in Gainesville, he was the son of Nancy Souther Gilleland and the late James Howard Rainwater.
He was a longtime employee of Chambers Lumber Company and Gainesville Motorsports. He worked on his farm and was a dog breeder.
Mr. Rainwater is survived by his daughter and son in law, Ann Marie Rainwater Scharf and Louis Martin Scharf of Ft. Polk, LA; son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Madeline Rainwater of Sautee-Nachoochee, GA; three grandchildren, Adalyn Parker Scharf, Grayson Ronin Scharf, Colton Lucian James Scharf; mother, Nancy Souther Rainwater Gilleland of Clermont; brother and sister in law, Thomas Howard and Kimberly Dell Rainwater of Flowery Branch.
