She was born in Taylorville on October 17, 1935, to Theron and Edith (Edwards) Griffiths. She married Herb Williams in 1956 and he preceded her in death. Her son, David Williams and sister, Delores Baker also preceded her in death.
She began her career as a bookkeeper and later was a special education aide with Laketown Elementary School.
She is survived by her children, Karen (Stephen) Heffren, Sandy (John) Watkins, Teresa (Ray) Phillips, Anita (Bill) Dyas and Jelinda (Brian) Nunn; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, John Griffiths; and sister, Sherry Bautista.
A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, September 13, 2021, at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
