Martha Jane Rose, at the age of 98 passed away Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.

She was born January 1, 1923 in Richmond, Indiana, the daughter of Charles E. and Olive Williams of Preble County, Ohio.

Jane graduated from Jackson High School of Campbellstown, Ohio, and then attended the Indiana Business College.

She married James C. Rose of Richmond, Indiana in November 1946.

She spent 15 years with the National Automatic Tool Company of Richmond, Indiana, and then moved to Louisville, Kentucky in 1957 when her husband was transferred there. She worked for the Weyerhauser Company for a short period and then 26 years with Honeywell, Inc., retiring in 1985 as Corporate Field Administration Manager.

She was a member of the International Order of the Amaranth, serving as Royal Matron, and musician, and served as Grand Fraternal Correspondent for the Grand Court of Kentucky, and a Life member of Friendship Court #22. Upon moving to Kerrville, Texas in 1990, she became active in the Order of the Eastern Star and served as secretary for Kerrville Chapter #34 for 9 1/2 years. She then became affiliated with Bandera Chapter #643, as an Endowed Member.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Rose, her parents, Charles E. and Olive Williams, sister Mary Olive McClure of Richmond, Indiana and her brother, Robert C. Williams of Tampa, Florida.

She is survived by her niece Mary Mendenhall of Lewisburg, Ohio, nephew Robert C. Williams, Jr. of Tampa Florida, many great nieces and nephews.

Although Jane and Jim did not have children of their own, they had a large extended family, one being Suzanne DeVore Brock, who has been like a daughter to them. Also, Donna Ann Kitchel of Richmond, Indiana who they assisted with her care from a very young age, and her family. Cindy and Ray Scarborough of Kerrville, Texas and their family. Any many others through-out the Midwest.

Jane was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church of Kerrville.
