Hannah married John Rugg on May 4, 1660. She was born afer her parents left England, probably at the Barbadoes where the Prescotts stayed for a time before sailing for New England. She was killed at the time of the Indian Massacre Sept. 11, 1696. - Provided by Barbara
Early records show that the family of Hannah Rugg are unknown. The same records do indicate that her family named is 'assumed'. Social customs of the time would not condone the marriage of husband of one sister to another regardless of the circumstances.
