On Aug. 25, 2021, Daniel (Danny) Lon Terry laid down his welding torch and is now blessed more than we can imagine at his new eternal residence in heaven. You may know Danny and his wife Sandy through their business - D & S Welding. Many have experienced the massive love Danny has shared with his family, friends and community,

Danny was born to Lon B. Terry and Brenda Joy (Bowers), in Kingman, Arizona on July 2, 1975. Danny then grew up in Bullhead City, Arizona. A favorite treat was diving into the Colorado River. He grew up to be a handsome young man, full of personality. He took great joy in devouring his beloved grandma Bertha's delicious baking. So did many others in our community. Life for Danny proved to be very hard and dealt him some serious blows. He spent most of his adolescence/young adult life incarcerated. His grandmother Bertha Bowers faithfully prayed for her grandson every day of her life and was able to reap the fruit of her and others' prayers before she graduated to heaven in 2016. Their love for one another ran deep and was precious.

Danny had to come from behind but was determined to live a new life, and build his dreams. This process began after he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and met and married Sandy Lingenfelter in 2009. He earned his associate degree in welding at Mohave Community College. He had great appreciation for his welding instructors. One math instructor at MCC described him as the dark horse far behind the rest, but to her delight he ended up coming in first place in her class. Danny had a passion for welding and became an excellent fabricator/welder. He was known for his business integrity. Danny was very grateful he had become a part of Sandy's family. (Psalm 68:4-5) He greatly appreciated and loved all of them deeply. He has also left behind two beloved African Mastiffs, Sadie and Beauty.

Danny now joins his grandparents, Harley and Bertha Bowers.

Danny has left behind his best friend and wife, Sandy (Lingenfelter) Terry (Kingman); his mother, Brenda Joy Johnson (Kingman); sister Heather Dawn Wright (of Kingman); a nephew and niece; his Aunt Ruth Ann and Uncle Trey Gordon (Kingman); one cousin Brandee Proffit, her husband Pete and children (Kingman); along with many very dear friends whom he loved, and who also poured into, supported and prayed for him. Danny and Sandy have experienced Christ's love through their church family at the Hilltop Foursquare Church and many others in the Body of Christ throughout our community. God used Danny to touch and bless many lives.

In lieu of flowers we would encourage you to continue doing whatever God is leading you to do, as Danny has said "we need to be part of the solution by His love and grace" in our struggling world.

There will be a graveside service for family and friends at the Mountain View Cemetery, 1301 Stockton Hill Road, Kingman, Arizona on Tuesday, Sept. 7, 10 a.m.

Danny's Celebration of Life will be at Hope City Church, 1850 Gates Ave. Friday, Sept. 17, 10 a.m. Following the service everyone is invited to Metcalfe Park (314 W. Beale St.) for a family and friends reception/BBQ from noon to 3 p.m.

Sandy sends big hugs and prayers to all who are hurting.
