Anchorage - Carol June Nalley King, 68, of Louisville, passed away September 4, 2021 at her Anchorage home. June grew up in Daviess County and spent most of her adult life in Louisville. She was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority, P.E.O. organization, and Beargrass Christian Church where she enjoyed using her musical talents in the bell choir. June graduated from Daviess County High School, University of Kentucky, and the UK School of Law. She recently retired from her career as a corporate attorney with Dentons-Bingham-Greenebaum. June enjoyed music, flower gardening, reading, taking walks, traveling and spending time with family. June was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Dorothy Owen Nalley. She is survived by her loving husband, David King who she married in 1984; son, Christopher King (Kaitlin); daughter, Meredith King; sister, Virginia Guerrero (Michael); father-in-law, Lewis King; aunt, Edith Tanner; uncles, Herbert Offutt and Donald Hewitt; nephews, Sean (Angela) Guerrero and Aaron (Krista) Guerrero; cousins, Rhonda Offutt (Randy); Robbin Offutt, Joyce Troutman (Billy); Doris Salmon (Ron); along with wonderful friends with whom she shared many lunches and conversation. Funeral services will be held at Beargrass Christian Church on Saturday, September 11 at 2:30 p.m. Friends may visit from 4-6 p.m. Friday and after 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the church. Her final resting place will be Highland Memory Gardens, Mt. Washington. McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home, Mt. Washington, has been entrusted with arrangements.
