Mr. David Aaron Alexander age 89, of Chickamauga, GA, passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021.

Mr. Alexander was born in Soddy, TN, on June 7, 1932, the son of the late Chester Alexander and Hermion Joseph Alexander. A man of many jobs and talents, he retired as a sales contractor in the construction industry. Mr. Alexander was a member of the Church of God faith and most recently attended Cooper Heights Church of God. In the church, he began by teaching in the youth department before leading adult Sunday School classes. Later he was a leader among his fellow seniors and held many positions through his local church. Mr. Alexander will be remembered most for spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ by witnessing to everyone he came in contact with.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Keith Holland; granddaughter-in-law, Robin Gibson; two brothers, Robert Alexander and Joseph Alexander; and a sister, Lucille Davis.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-six years, Bobbie McBride Alexander, to whom he was married on September 3, 1955; three daughters, Susan Holland, Malissa Gibson (Kenny); and Davina Smith (Chip); fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-granddaughters. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, September 13, 2021, at 1:00 p.m., Lane Funeral Home South Crest Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Oliver and Rev. Ron Ingram officiating. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens South.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at Lane Funeral Home South Crest Chapel.
