Danny Wayne Nuckles 79 years of age of Raven, VA, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021. Born December 10, 1941 in Bishop, VA, he was the son of the late Howard and Hazel Eura Owens Nuckles.

Danny was a founding member of Freedom Ministries Church in Claypool Hill, VA. He was a man of great faith, was one of a kind, loved to make people laugh, and never met a stranger. He was an avid outdoorsman that loved his cowboy boots, guns, and loved working with anything that had wheels. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle.

He will never be forgotten.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Donald Lee Nuckles, son-in-law, Johnny Mullins; and grandchildren, Trevor and Craig Nuckles.

Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Virginia Marriel Meadows Nuckles of Raven, VA; daughters: Pamela Mullins of Abingdon, VA, Sharon Shumaker of Honaker, VA, Angela Goins and husband Mark of Vansant, VA, Dana Nuckles of Raven, VA; son Anthony Nuckles and wife Karen of Mavisdale, VA.

He is also survived by his grandchildren Destin Delp, Kelli Jo Nuckles, Dustin Shumaker, Brody Mullins, Cody Mullins, Connor Goins and Isabella Goins; great-grandchildren Braidyn Compton, and Layana Compton; several nieces and nephews, and his canine buddy, "Peanut".

Funeral service for Danny Wayne Nuckles will be held at the Freedom Ministries Church in Cedar Bluff, VA, Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Mickey Hale officiating. Burial will follow in the Nuckles Family Cemetery in Raven, VA.

Active pallbearers will be Brody Mullins, Connor Goins, Cody Mullins, Joe Compton, Dave Keen, Tim Herring, Chris Phillips, and Mark Goins.

Honorary pallbearers will be Earl Dye, Charlie Absher, Roger Daniels, and the men of Freedom Ministries Church.

The family will receive friends at the Freedom Ministries Church, Friday, September 10th after 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
