Katherine was the daughter of Marshall Sanders and Arthur Mae Sanders. She was the 5th of 7 children. She was educated in the Marion County School System. She dedicated her life to Christ at an early age. Worship was her lifestyle.
She was married to L. C. Jackson, they had 11 children. She was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Betty J. Brantley, 1 son, Tony Jackson, 2 sisters, Emma Lois McKether and Esther Gary and 3 brothers, Charlie R. Sanders, Rogers Sanders and Marshall Sanders.
Survivors:
7 Daughters: Phosia Dixon, Agnes J. Banks, Barbara Davis, Varlinda Walker, Rhonda Smith(Michael), Kimberly Jackson and Tonyier Jackson.
2 Sons: Leonard C. Jackson Jr and Larry D. Jackson (Kyong).
1 Sister: Joan Lillian Bryant.

Graveside services were held Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 12PM in the Mt. Zion AME Cemetery in Buena Vista, Georgia.
