KEITH EUGENE CHAMBERS

There are men who touch the lives of others simply by virtue of their presence. Keith Eugene Chambers was such a man.

Beloved by those who knew him, Keith went out of his way to be courteous, kind, accepting, and appreciative of everyone around him. Before his sudden and unexpected death on Thursday, June 12, 2008, Keith was known around his neighborhood as "The Professor." While he was not, in fact, a professor, his thirst for knowledge was apparent. He could give a lesson on history, social science, astronomical phenomenon, and the benefits of organized labor in the span of fifteen minutes, or as long as it takes to smoke a cigarette and pull the weeds from the front garden.

In his youth, Keith was an accomplished cadet in the ROTC, a third-degree brown belt in Judo, a tool and die maker, and a Head Steward for the United Electrical Workers of America.

In death Keith follows Ruth and Coyle Chambers. Keith is survived by his only son, Marshall Cham-bers; his sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Leo Conner, their three sons, Jeff, Brian, and Brent Conner; and his deeply beloved partner, Mary Ann Dorian.

A Memorial Service will be held in the sanctuary of Westminster Presbyterian Church, 50 East Santa Ana, located on the corner of Thorne and Santa Ana in Fresno, on Saturday, June 21, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. with a luncheon to follow. STEPHENS & BEAN CHAPEL 202 North Teilman Avenue Fresno, Ca. (559)268-9292
