John Lewis Strong, 55, of Raleigh, North Carolina, died on May 5, 2021. He was born on May 22, 1965 to Lewis Moore Strong and Jo Lou Strong. John was a devoted husband, father and avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at the family farm in Virginia. With his contagious smile and outgoing personality, John never met a stranger.
John graduated from Athens Drive High School in 1983. Following graduation, John began a lifelong career in residential construction as a framer. He, with his wife Leigh Anne, maintained their own business for over 20 years, Strong Built Homes of NC, Inc. He was an award winning licensed general contractor, specializing in custom residential homes.
He was predeceased in death by his father, Lewis Strong.
He is survived by his wife, Leigh Anne; daughters, Cassie Strong, Meghan Strong, Avalon Taylor; mother, Jo Lou Strong; sister, Sandra Jo Strong (Jody).
He will be missed by all who knew him.
A Life Celebration Gathering will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Hilltop Church, 10212 Fayetteville Rd., Fuquay Varina, NC 27526. Reception and Sharing after the service at the church.
