Early Friday morning, God saw fit to call another one of his soldiers home. Leonard "LT" Turner Jr., 56, of Silex, Missouri gained his wings on August 20, 2021. Leonard was born on December 31, 1964 in Saint Louis, Missouri, the son of Leonard Sr. and Mary Turner. He graduated from Fort Zumwalt North High School in 1983. After graduation, he joined the United States Marine Corp and served our country for 4 years. He then started his career as a concrete finisher and laborer. He met the love of his life, Cornelia "Nana" Turner (Rice) in 1987. They married on December 9, 1988 in Troy, MO. Through this marriage six beautiful children were born: Alicia, Christina, Tanysha, Lakysha, Kamysha, and Leonard James. Leonard was a devoted Christian and was a member of The New Life Christian Church of Eolia, MO. Leonard was a very hard worker and was busy all the time. He enjoyed fishing, small engine repair, working on cars, helping others and spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed cracking jokes with his friends, playing yard games, chess, and reading his bible. Leonard was a handyman for many family members and was also a concrete finisher. Once he retired due to health issues, he became an amazing house husband. Leonard always had dinner ready, the house and dishes cleaned, and he took care of all of the yard work. He will be remembered lovingly by all those who knew him.

Leonard is survived by his beloved wife, Cornelia Turner, his daughters: Alicia Orf (Mike), Tanysha Turner (TJ), Lakysha Turner (Corey) Kamysha Turner (Taye) and Ashley Turner, his grandchildren: Tessa, Tyson, Malayah, Legacy and Joshua, his parents, Leonard and Mary Turner, mother-in-love, Katie Rice, his sisters; Brenda Turner (Jim) and Lennette Brown (Andre), brothers; Jeff Turner (Jenny) and Frank Turner Sr., his family-in-love and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christina, his son, Leonard James, his sister, Faye Turner, his brother, Kelvin Turner and his father-in-love, James Rice Sr.
