Evert G. Lindstrom, a resident of Fox Lake, IL for over 20 years, formerly of Chicago, died Sunday, October 1, 2000 in his home.
He was born on January 4, 1926 to Sigurd and Alice (nee Gustavson) Lindstrom and had been a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Destroyer Escort Assoc., a member of the Fox Lake V.F.W. and the Lakes Region American Legion Post 703, and the Fox Lake Lions Club. He was a 28 year employee of Illinois Bell in the Chicagoland and Libertyville areas, retiring as a Dispatcher.
Survivors include his son, Fred Lindstrom of Chicago, IL; his sister, Carol (Allen) Hjertstedt of Carpet Springs, Florida; 3 nieces; 5 great nieces; 2 great nephews, and 2 great great nephews also survive as well as many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife; the late Myrtle (nee) Roepke Lindstrom, and by his parents.
Friends of the family may call Wednesday, October 4, 2000 from 4-7PM at the K.K. HAMSHER FUNERAL HOME, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake, IL (The Chapel On The Lake) where Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, October 5th at 10:30AM to which all are invited to attend. Interment will be private.
