William Eugene Fraley, 78, Point Pleasant, West Virginia passed way unexpectedly Tuesday, August 31, 2021. William was born January 29, 1943 in Portsmouth, Ohio, son to the late Benjamin and Lydia (Wooten) Fraley. He was a United States Army Veteran, also serving with the National Guard, and he married Nancy Carter Fraley, Point Pleasant, who survives.

To this union were born their children: Lydia Marr, Gallipolis, Ohio; Sarah (Derrick) Layne, Cincinnati, Ohio; Elizabeth Fraley, Point Pleasant and Rachel (Josh) Filarski, Jackson, Ohio as well as fourteen grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers and sister, Myrlon (Barbara) Fraley, Prescott, Arizona; Ben (Pat) Fraley, Dayton, Ohio and Peggy (Butch) Akers, Dayton, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven sisters, two brothers and a son-in-law, Thomas Marr.

Funeral services will be conducted at Noon Tuesday, September 7, 2021 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio with Pastor Kevin Terry officiate. Full Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by the Gallia County Veterans Funeral Detail in the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens, Gallipolis, Ohio. Friends and family may call at the funeral home Tuesday 11:00 AM to the service hour of Noon.
