Sergio Ramirez, 65 years old of Round Lake, IL passed away Monday, December 7, 2020 at University of Illinois Chicago Hospital, Chicago, IL. He was born July 24, 1955 to Procoro and the late Francisca (Tierrablanca) Ramirez in Mexico City, Mexico. On June 20, 1974, he was united in marriage with Maria Hernandez in San Juan de la Vega, Gto, Mexico. During his youth, he enjoyed boxing. Sergio enjoyed dancing, road trips, and trips to Mexico. He loved going to his grandchildren's school or sporting events and spending time with his family. Sergio could be found on the couch rooting for the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His cheerful and charismatic attitude will always be remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include, his wife of 46 years, Maria Ramirez; children, Maria (Jay) Salgado, Patty (William C. Long) Ramirez, and Blanca (Paul) Radosevici; grandchildren, Jesse Ramirez, Alec Rodriguez, Christian Salgado, Milani Salgado, Matthew Radosevici, Aiden Radosevici, and Mia Ramirez; father, Procoro Ramirez; siblings, Amelia, Antonio, Esther, Sylvia, Procoro Jr., Francisca, and Jose. Along with his mother, Sergio was preceded in death by his brothers, Santos and Rafael.
