Gladys Thomas our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all passed peacefully on September 1, 2021 at the age of 95 years. She worked as a CNA for many years.
Gladys was born on December 11, 1925 to Arthur and Mable Roberts. She was preceded in death by both parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister, 2 daughters Theresa Bump and Marlo Wright, 1 son Gordon Valk, 3 grandchildren, Kimberly and Lloyd (Bo) Thompson, and Kieth Wiley, 1 great grandchild Jace Lane.
Gladys married Earl Valk in 1942 and had 11 children from that marriage. Gladys later had 1 child by Raymond Thomas.
Gladys is survived by 4 sons, Earl and Janet Valk of Madill, Ok. Richard, Eddie and Anthony Valk of Claremore, Ok. 5 daughters Sylvia & Lloyd Thompson, Hazel & Bill Laffoon of Claremore, Ok. Florence Tucker of Spavinaw, Ok Cynthia & Bill Swalley of Nowata, Ok and Angela Knight of Arkansas, stepdaughter Dee Dunlap of Tulsa, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, and special friend Debbie Rogers.
Gladys was a friend to all and loved having a baby in her arms.
