She was a native of Rockingham County, North Carolina and was a resident of New Jersey for many years before returning to Reidsville. She was a former employee of the Rockingham County School System and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
During her leisure, she enjoyed reading the Bible, art and spending time with children.
Her parents, Lillie Bell Graves and Thomas Graves; aunts, Laura Smith (Abraham), Viola Whitsett (Tony), Louzenia Bushnell (Norman) and Montoria Millner (James); uncles, Arch Moore (Ada) and Obey Moore (Topsey), preceded her in death.
Survivors are: a loving son, Tommy Graves, Sr. (Eva); devoted grandson, Micky Graves; great-grandchildren, Tyquan and Parri' Onnah; godson, Trey Stadler; special friends, Marie Parker, Paul Amos, Donnie Macklin, Lawrence Graves, Sam Bandi, Beverly Rucker and Orianna Fulton; other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Sunday, September 12, 2021 from the Greenview Cemetery, 1004 Montgomery Street with Pastor Michael Olaye presiding. In every effort to protect our client families, protective facial coverings and social distancing are mandatory requirements.
