Altrue W. Thornton, 40-year old sawmill hand, of Mt. Wilson, Lebanon Route 4, died in the Good Samaritan Hospital yesterday afternoon, where he was under treatment for the past several weeks. He was in ill health since last July when he ceased employment. The family moved to this locality about six years ago from Radford, Va. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren at Annville. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mazie Thornton, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Watt Thornton, a sister, Mrs. John Cupelli, Lebanon, and the following children at home: Mrs. Clarence Tolbert, Sarah, Richard, Donald, James, Kenneth, Lacey and Bradley Thornton.
