Barbara L. Parks, 73, of Mifflintown, passed away Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021, at Brookline Manor.

Born March 9, 1948, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Ional and Mary (Mohnasky) Shoop.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Shoop.

She is survived by children, Charles Parks and wife, Stacy, of Belleville, Lisa Parks, of Lewistown, and Rachel Parks; four grandchildren, Gavin, Rhiley, Devin and Gunar Parks; and a sister-in-law, Maxine Shoop, of Minnesota.

She was a Class of 1966 graduate of Chief Logan High School.

Barbara was a member of Yeagertown United Methodist Church.

She worked as a nurse's aide at Nipples Nursing Home, Valley View and William Penn.

Barbara enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren, walking and being in her garden.

A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 10, 2021, at Yeagertown United Methodist Church, 500 Highland Ave. Extended, Lewistown, PA 17044, with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m., with Rev. Thomas Morningstar and Rev. Steven Small officiating.

Arrangements are under the care of Heller- Hoenstine Funeral Homes Burnham.
