He was preceded in death by wives Lillian Darlene Nanee Hines and Olivia Hines; Brothers - Robert Hines, Jr., and Anthony Hines; Sisters - Barbara J. Brown and Regina Barns; Children - Daphine Hines Berry. He has a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He worked for Labors International Union of North America, Warren, Ohio; the Cowboy Hall of Fame - Oklahoma City, OK; and the City of Oklahoma Parks and Recreation.
Mr. Hines was a Deacon in the church, loved fishing, gardening, and cooking. He was also an avid sports fan and loved to travel.
