Valerie Elaine Trautloff, 48, of Atchison, KS, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at Kansas University Hospital, Kansas City, KS, following a lengthy illness.
Valerie was born March 8, 1959, in Hiawatha, KS, the daughter of Roger Lee and Mary Lou Chandler Sinclair. She attended elementary school in Atchison and the Atchison County Community High School, Effingham, KS.
She and Charles L. (Chuck) Trautloff were united in marriage on August 17, 1975, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Atchison.
Valerie was employed with Atchison Leather Products from 1994 until 2003 and previously worked in the dietary department at Atchison Medicalodge Nursing Center for eight years.
She was a member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, attending yard sales and spending time with her family & especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband; Charles L. (Chuck) Trautloff, Atchison, three sons; Charles L. (Chuck) Trautloff, III, Robert L. Trautloff, and Steven J. Trautloff, all of Atchison, her father; Roger L. Sinclair, Effingham, two brothers; Gary Sinclair, Atchison, Larry Sinclair, Belle Vista, AK., and six grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her mother; Mary Lou Sinclair, and three brothers; Delwin, Allen and David Sinclair.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, November 26, 2007, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Hollingsworth officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, November 25, at Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to First Baptist Church and may be left in care of the funeral home.
