Clifford Kenneth Smith, 84, of Davenport, IA, received his Angel Wings on the morning of Friday, September 3, 2021, after a brief stay at Genesis East Medical Center. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 13, at Weerts Funeral Home in Davenport. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 14, also at the Weerts Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

Cliff was born on May 24, 1937 to Clifford and Francis L. (Sabin) Smith in Earlham, IA. He married his bride Vivian "Bobbi" (Stice) on March 22, 1958.

Cliff and Bobbi moved to Davenport in 1963. He was involved with the Davenport West Little League and Pony League organizations. He was also involved with the Quad City Fan Association where he held many positions. He was a devoted member of Grace United Methodist Church and held many positions within the church.

Cliff ran a successful painting company for over 35 years called Expert Painting Inc. He retired in 2001, but was soon back to work in 2002 at a place he would later refer to as his "happy place."

For the next 19 years and up until his final round, Glenn's Creek Golf Course would become his work and play. He was also employed at Strieter Motors in Davenport doing what he also loved to do, driving vehicles to and from different locations throughout the United States.

He was an avid golfer and loved to watch his L.A. Dodgers and Iowa Hawkeyes Football & Basketball teams.

He is survived by his "one & only" loving wife of 63 years, Bobbi; a son, Brian Smith of Eldridge; a daughter, Dana (Smith) Sharpe of Carbon Cliff; four grandsons: Bryn, John, Danny & Kadyn; four granddaughters: Nichole, LaShell, Kortney & Bailey; eight great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; a sister, Patty Gilliland of Des Moines; along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents & grandparents; his sister, Audrey; his daughter, Jeri-Lyn Waline (Smith) and granddaughter Tia Marie Smith.
